Shipping Policy

A. The Spirits Reserve Shipping Insurance must be purchased at time of checkout in order to cover lost, stolen or damaged shipments. 

B. Spillage, minor damage and/or cosmetic defects are all possible to occur during transit. Spirits Reserve does not take responsibility for minor damage. 

C. Spirits Reserve is not responsible for any lost shipments, including but not limited to packages lost because of hold requests or delivery rescheduling. 

D. If the package is returned due to failed delivery, a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded. 

E. If the package is returned to Spirits Reserve damaged because of failed delivery attempts or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order. 

F. You must be at least 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone at least 21 years of age is required upon delivery. 

G. The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.

Limited to just 24 casks, the exclusive Trinidad 2009 expression was chosen from the cellars of Trinidad Distillers Limited by Alexandre Gabriel, Plantation Rum’s Master Blender, and Andrew Hassell, General Manager and rum historian at West Indies Rum Distillery. The next destination is already very eagerly awaited.

Continuously distilled in multi-column stills, Plantation Trinidad 2009 also stands out for its maturation process. This new limited edition benefited from a signature double ageing process inspired by a 300-year-old technique updated by Alexandre Gabriel, an authority in the art of ageing. This ancestral method is inseparable from the identity of Plantation Rums.

This superb rum was first matured for 11 years in 200-liter ex-bourbon casks in the Trinidadian distillery’s cellars, built entirely of red bricks and particularly admired by Alexandre Gabriel and Andrew Hassell. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, the bricks make it possible to maintain a cool temperature and, as a result, to exert greater control over the ageing of the cane eaux-de-vie. Plantation Trinidad 2009 was then treated to an additional one-year ageing period in Javrezac, in France’s Charente region, in 400-liter French oak barrels from Maison Ferrand.

SCENT & FLAVOR

COLOR

Deep colour, almost opaque.

PALATE

On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.

FINISH

Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.
